The picture shows the board you will find at the parking spot. Once you pass this map you will have to walk for 1 km to the trail entrance. You will find a direction sign board that will lead you to the Halfway Log Beach or the hike trail to The Grotto called the Bruce Trail.

Take the Bruce Trail up into the Trees.

At all times throughout the hike you will follow the white paint on the trees, leading you to The Grotto. See below a picture reference:

This hike can be challenging as you are walking through a lot of uphill and downhill. It’s also one for nature lovers, a lot of trees and tree branches to see and explore. You will also find beautiful high top views of Lake Huron. So make sure your phone is charged as I am not going to spoil it for you, find out for yourself.

After about 1 hour of your hike you should be at the Halfway Log Beach. It’s a beautiful view. You follow the white stones up unti you see another tree branch with white paint on it.

After about 2 hours from here you should find yourself at The Grotto.

The water at The Grotto is very cold however one can still go down to the cave and have a swim but becuase of Covid-19 they are advising people to keep their distance and not go down into the cave.

Don’t forget to pack enough water to stay hydrated!

Happy Hiking!
